Apple cake
"This traditional Bulgarian Apple cake is easy to prepare and absolutely delicious. Hope you enjoy it!"
Ingredients:
- 4 eggs
- 2 cups white sugar
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 3 cups white flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1-2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 6-7 apple - peeled, cored and grated
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Directions:
- In a large bowl, beat eggs and sugar on high speed with an electric mixer. Add oil and blend in.
- Sift together flour and baking powder and mix well with the mixture of eggs and sugar.
- Blend together cinnamon, peeled and grated apples and chopped walnuts and add to the mixture.
- Mix well and place the mixture into baking form.
- Bake at 180 degrees C for 50 - 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into center of the cake comes out clean.
- Sprinkle powder sugar over the baked cake.
